About Tru Rec AI

Making computer vision work for the real world

We believe every organisation with cameras should be able to extract operational intelligence from them — not just the tech giants with unlimited resources.

The problem we're solving

Enterprises have invested billions in camera infrastructure. Security cameras, production line monitors, retail analytics systems — the hardware is already there. Yet the vast majority of this footage goes unwatched, unanalysed, and ultimately wasted.

The technology to analyse video at scale exists, but it's been locked away in research labs and the engineering departments of trillion-dollar companies. The gap between what's theoretically possible and what's practically deployable in a real enterprise environment is enormous.

We're closing that gap.

Our approach

Computer vision in production is hard. Not the models — those are increasingly commoditised. The hard parts are everything else: connecting to legacy camera systems, handling network constraints, managing edge compute, ensuring privacy compliance, integrating with existing workflows, and building interfaces that operations teams can actually use.

We've built our platform from the ground up to solve these operational challenges. We combine state-of-the-art vision models with robust infrastructure that works in the messy reality of enterprise environments — not just in controlled demos.

Who we are

We're a team of engineers, researchers, and operators who've spent years at the intersection of machine learning and enterprise software. We've seen firsthand why most AI projects fail to make it to production — and we've built the tooling and processes to ensure ours don't.

Our backgrounds span computer vision research, distributed systems, enterprise sales, and industrial operations. We understand both the technical challenges and the business realities of deploying AI at scale.

Why this matters

The potential is significant. Real-time quality inspection that catches defects before they ship. Safety monitoring that prevents accidents before they happen. Operational insights that were previously impossible to capture at scale.

This isn't about surveillance or replacing workers. It's about giving organisations visibility into their operations that they've never had before — and empowering teams with information to make better decisions.

It's a hard problem. We're determined to solve it.
